African Voices
More than a festival, FIC Luanda is a global movement celebrating the power, diversity, and innovation of contemporary cinema.
Our Manifesto
FIC Luanda 2026 is a public platform for the promotion and appreciation of Angolan cinema, bringing together film screenings, a national competition, training, cultural exchange, and networking between creators, professionals, and audiences. It takes place from October 28 to November 2, 2026, in Luanda, with national and international participation.
FIC Luanda is promoted by the National Agency for Cultural and Creative Industries (ANICC), an institution under the Ministry of Culture, which ensures the institutional guidance and responsibility for the Festival.
The Festival aligns with the objectives of the National Development Plan 2023–2027, particularly in the promotion of large-scale festivals and cultural activities, support for national production, and the creation of meeting spaces for artists and industry professionals.

Festival Vision
Vision & Goals
The festival aims to establish Angola as a hub for creation, dialogue, and cultural cooperation, strengthening its presence in the international African cinematic landscape.
Our strategic vision for 2026-2030 is to position FIC Luanda as a top-tier festival in Sub-Saharan Africa and a reference in the Lusophone region, aiming for regional leadership and continental recognition, while transforming Luanda into one of the main African cinematic capitals.
