Mangais

Synopsis

In 'Mangais - A Breath of Life', we are transported to the Buraco community in Luanda, Angola, where mangroves are not just a part of the landscape, but a vital link to the future of our planet. Through the curious and inspiring eyes of Baita, a local child full of energy and love for nature, we witness the importance of mangroves for sustainability and environmental preservation. Interspersed with interviews from community members, scientists, and environmental activists, we are taken on an emotional journey of discovery and awareness about the crucial role of mangroves in mitigating climate change, protecting marine biodiversity, and supporting the livelihoods of coastal communities. Through hands-on activities, such as planting mangrove seedlings and coastal clean-ups, Baita and his community remind us of the urgency to act now to preserve this essential ecosystem. 'Mangais - A Breath of Life' is an invitation for all of us to unite for the preservation of mangroves and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come."
